The Chef Carme Ruscalleda, the image of the campaign ‘We are what we eat’, paid a visit to the Masia  to get to know first hand the nutritional project that the academys athletes of FC Barcelona are taking part in, which is the main basis of the campaign to promote healthy eating habits, set up by the FC Barcelona Foundation.

Ruscalleda: “Barça's commitment to a healthy diet is ultra modern”

Carme Ruscalleda took a stroll thorugh the installations and , of course, paid a visit to the kitchen run by  Fernando Redondo, the Masia chef, with whom she chatted about the daily menus served in the Masia. According to the chef from Sant Pol de Mar the dietary guidelines and cullinary processes followed by FC Barcelona are worth "10 points". Ruscalleda stressed that “here is a chef who, under some nutritional guidelines, produces exclusive meals" por sportspeople.  And most importantly they are based on "food that is fresh, natural, and in season" she reminded us.

Referring to the FC Barcelona Foundation campain ‘We are what we eat’, Ruscalleda emphasised that she found it  “ultra modern” that Barça is committed to promoting “healthy eating”and considers the initiative as “essencial”. Last December, Ruscalleda starred in the TV relaunch campain together with Cesc Fàbregas and Marc Bartra. In this spot the three of them invited young people to follow a healthy eating diet under the slogan ‘Eat healthily, cook well, play better!’.
