The former French international came to Barcelona as the guest of the FC Barcelona Foundation and the CCCB to take part in a number of events on racism
Former Barça defender Lilian Thuram gave a talk on racism last Monday afternoon to students of FCBEscola aged between 8 and10 as part of his collaboration with the FC Barcelona Foundation. Thuram gave the children an instructive and entertaining talk which analysed with practical examples the cultural basis of racist and discriminatory behaviour in today’s world.
The presence of Lilian Thuram in Barcelona was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the FC Barcelona Foundation and the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture (CCCB). Later, he took part in the conference ‘Racism is still here’ given in the CCCB theatre by Moroccan writer Tahar Ben Jelloun. The talk was introduced by Ramon Garriga, patron of the FC Barcelona Foundation.
