The project that uses basketball to teach values, run by the Euroleague in association with the FCB Foundation, is about to embark on a new season of activities
The ‘One Team’ project gets its new season under way in November and on Thursday its ambassador, Àlex Abrines, met the FC Barcelona Foundation team to find out about the latest plans.
Abrines is in the role for the second consecutive year and spoke enthusiastically about the activities that “do so much for the feelings of joy among the players that take part”. ‘One Team’ is a project set up by the Euroleague that uses basketball to foster social integration, gender equality and other values among young people.
This season, the FC Barcelona players and veterans will once again be giving coaching clinics, as well as different activities organised around the Euroleague and the creation of documents to raise awareness about sport and values.
The beneficiaries this year will once again be the Special Olympics Catalunya and the Federació Catalana d’Esports per a Disminuïts Psíquics (ACELL).
